Ezousa is the sixth largest river in Cyprus with a length of 41 kilometres. It comes from the mountain of Troodos and pours near Paphos. The valley of Ezousa has joined the nature protection programme. The Kannaviou Dam was built at Ezousa with a capacity of 18.000.000 square metres. The aim of the dam is the irrigation of the surrounding area and the valley as well as the irrigation of the mountain village of Paphos.
