Nicosia

Nicosia in Greek is known as “Lefkosia” and is the capital of Cyprus. Nicosia is the only city in Europe which is divided in two by a green line which separated the GreekCypriots from the TurkishCypriots.

The town combines the old Cypriot culture with new modern buildings making Nicosia a cosmopolitan city. The old town of Nicosia is surrounded by a fortress wall and around it are hundreds of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Stassicratous Street is the street with the best shops for clothes and shoes for shopping.
