Agios Panteleimonas Church is situated in the village of Kakopetria in the Nicosia district. Its construction began in 1989 and it was completed in 1994 with donations from the residents of the village. It is the main church of the village and it is quite large with a capacity of 700 people.

Its architecture is of Byzantine rhythm with a dome. Its exterior is concreted while the interior is whitewashed temporary. A stone exterior is also in the future plans of the village. The interior of the church has begun filling up with murals. Above the altar there is a mural of the Virgin Mary, the Resurrection, the Annunciation and various other representations of saints. The iconostasis has three gates, the great gate in the centre, one on the right and one on the left. It is wooden carved as the psalm stands and the throne. On the west side there is a special shrine where the dedicated icon of Agios Panteleiomonas is situated. There are two extra rooms in the splint, one on the left and one on the right. This where the baptisms will take place in the future. The existence of the amphitheatrically shaped gallery is import as it allows the people to watch the various church ceremonies.

The church celebrates on the 27th of July, in honour of Agios Panteleimonas, where many Christians show their presence of this great celebration.
