The Platanistasa Folklore Art Museum is housed in the olive mill area of the Platanistasa village. It began its operation in 2000, after 6 years of the building maintenance.

The Community Council, the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education as well as the Nicosia District Office contributed to the construction of the Museum.

The museum includes items from the olive mill area, as well as everyday items such as cookware, a loom, agriculture tools and baskets of grapes.
