The island of Cyprus has many things to offer apart from its great beaches, the sun and fantastic nightlife. For those who are interested in nature ,
archaeology as well as the animal kingdom there is a variety of things to see and do all over the island.
More specifically the island has two main zoos, a camel park and many other nature parks in the different forests, its main one being the Troodos Geopark.

The Limassol Zoo is located in the Limassol district and it is near the port. The Cyprus Land Medieval Theme Park in Limassol will take you back in time to meet knights with shiny armour.
The Paphos Zoo is located in the Paphos district in the Peyia area.
There is also a camel park in the Larnaca district, about 15 minutes from the Larnaca airport (Mazotos Camel Park) for those interested in camels in particular.
If you are interested in sealife , the Protaras Ocean Aquarium is home to over 1000 underwater sepcies.
The village Avgorou accomodates the Cyherbia Botanical park where you can see a variety of herbs and go into the one of a kind 2000 square metre maze.
Apart from these more well-known parks, there is also an archaeological park in the Paphos district near the Paphos castle. This is the Paphos Archaeological Park,
an open area filled with ancient ruins, mosaics, an Odeon and many other monuments.
