The Vathia Gonia beach is located in 2, 2 kilometres from the Ayia Napa centre, 400 metres east of the Nissi Bay in the Ammochostos district.
It is a rocky bay and has 300 metres length and 40 metres width. The beach is covered with thin golden sand, has waves of medium and is completely protected by the wind.
The shore is divided by a pathway which connects one direction with the beach and the iconic port of Ayia Napa and the other direction towards the Makronissos beach, which is where the Makronissos Necropolis is.
The facilities at the beach include changing rooms, toilets, sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports while there is accommodation and a variety of restaurants.
Access to the beach is by car, motorbike, and bike or on foot and there is parking. The beach also offers the possibility to access the beach with a wheelchair.
In April, May, September and October from 9am until 5 pm, and in June, July, August from 10 am until 6 pm, there are lifeguards with lifeguard equipment as well as first aid services.
