Cyprus has many ways in which you can satisfy your desires. If what makes your day fun is shopping in markets filled with people, malls which have everything you want, food and beverages, sweets, entertainment and games, then there are a lot of places you can choose from. All the towns in Cyprus have a traditional market, malls and high streets.
The different towns have their own local markets from which you can buy hand made products such as lace, knitted curtains and tablecloths, silk, ceramics, silver, gold and leather. Jewellery is an art on the island which has been around since the Mycenaean period.
The technicians use modern and traditional styles in order to create some very elegant pieces. Silver spoons and forks are a symbol of Cypriot hospitality. The local wines and brandies are also good buys. Other items which are sold at competitive prices are imported items such as photograph machines, perfumes, porcelain and crystal.

Summer: 08:00-13:00 and 16:00-19:30
Autumn and Spring: 08:00-13:00 and 16:00-19:00
Winter: 08:00-13:00 and 14:30-18:00.
On Fridays most shops are open until 20:00/20:30.
The shops in the tourist areas are mostly open until late at night from Monday – Sunday
