Samali

Samali is a sweet which is made out of semolina and yogurt. Once the sweet is cooked it is covered with syrup.

It is cut into diamonds and almonds are placed on the top of it. Samali is the sweet of the East and its history passes though all its cities in order to get to Greece and Cyprus.

Samali is very famous in Greece and Cyprus and it is also called Kalo prama. In some other versions of the cake, coconut is added as well as ice cream
