The Cultural Centre of Occupied Famagusta was built in 1998 on the line of controversy near the Deryneia barricade in the Ammochostos district , and accommodates events of the Ammochostos Municipality as well as other organisations.

An observatory as well as a canteen operate at the cultural centre. A visitor can borrow binoculars in order to have a better view of the beloved town and almost all our occupied land.

The multi-purpose room is used in order to show videos about Ammochostos, to the hundreds of visitors that visits the centre every day, as well as the primary and secondary students that visit the centre on educational excursions.

Art exhibitions (photography, sculpture, painting etc.), as well as other cultural events, in both the interior areas as well as the small amphitheatre during the summer months. The centre areas are also used for seminars, conferences etc.
