The Agiou Fanouriou Church is located in the Deryneia village situated in the Ammochostos district.

More specifically it was built in 2001 in the area of the new cemetery with donations from the family of Christaki Yianni Mavriou in memory of his loving mother Florentias.

The church is simple and small with aegeaopelagitiko (Greek Aegean type architecture). The interior is decorated with a wooden iconosastis and icons of the saints.

Agios Fanourios is celebrated on the 27th of August, and is usually presented holding a lit candle, as he is linked with finding lost objects.

According to tradition you can make a Fanouropitta in honour of  the saint and he will assist in finding your lost item.
