The Agiou Ioanni Theologou Church is located at the north area of the village of Platanistasa in the Nicosia district.

It is situated in the area called Laoude , on the right side of the road in the place of the older church , and was renovated during the 17the century.

The Agiou Ioanni Theologou Church was the main church of the village until the church of the Archangel was renovated and took the shape it has today.

The Agiou Ioanni Theologou Church has a wooden roof as well, and has been fixed recently by the Department of Antiquities along with a donation of Mr. Kyprianos Kouppa who also donated the money for the creation of the village square.

Visitors who come to this church have the opportunity to admire the excellent iconostasis of the 17th century along with its portable icons.
