The Akaki River is located in the village of Akaki in the Nicosia district is said to be one of the most beautiful sites in the village.

During the wet months the river has water in it which in some locations reaches 400 metres. According to Karouzis, the width of this river becomes more understood if one compares the Thames River and the Sichuan River in the areas of London and Paris which are 300 metres.

What is interesting about this rive is that it transfers large rocks from the Troodos Mountain which add a special beauty.
