The Agia Varvara Beach or Santa Barbara Beach as it is known, is located in the Limassol district. More specifically it is situated in area of Agios Tychonas at a close distance from the archaeological site of Amathounta. It is a beautiful and quiet beach with soft golden sand, a few rocks and clear blue water. It is a beach where both tourists and locals of all ages visit.

The beach is well organised and has been given the Blue Flag Award. There are many facilities such as toilets, showers, access for people with disabilities, sunbeds and umbrellas available. There are also water sports, diving areas available as well as lifeguards with equipment available from April until October.

The beach can be accessed by bus, car or motorbike. Many beach parties and other events are organised at the Agia Varvara Beach, attracting many people during the day as well as the night. The surrounding area has many cafes and restaurants, while a graphic trail towards the west, leads to the ancient city and the port of Amathounta.
