Argaka Dam

To the southeast of the Argaka community in the Paphos district, is the dam known as Argaka-Makounda.

This dam is the one that sends water to all the agricultural pieces of land in Argaka. It is a dam which was built in 1964, it has a height of 41 metres and a capacity of 990 thousand cubical metres.

It is worth mentioning that on the 16^th of January, the 2012 dam was the first in Paphos to fill up. This was not the only time which it filled up as it usually occurs every year.
