The Ayia Thekla beach is located 6, 5 kilometres west of the centre of Ayia Napa and it is a very beautiful beach.

It is a natural sandy beach on a bedrock covered with thin golden sand, while its waves are of low-intensity. This beach took its name from an old chapel in the area. It is also worth mentioning that the beach is included in the Natura 2000 network.

There is the possibility for water sport as well as walking towards to east or west to the Vathia Gonia , or west towards the graphic port of the Liopetri River through the paved pathway that connects the two points. There are also restaurants and kiosks in the area.

All the Ayia Napa beaches have been awarded with the Blue Flag award, for their high level of cleanliness and the excellent facilities which are offered according to standards by the European Union.
