Limassol is home to many beautiful beaches, but none quite like Zapallo Beach. Also known as Zapallo Bay, and tucked away in a secluded cove, Zapallo Beach is the perfect spot for those seeking a quiet and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located in the area of Episkopi in the Limassol district, Zapallo Beach is a small stretch of sandy shore of about 800 metres, that's often overlooked by visitors to the area. Access to this beach is through the Curium road towards the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates .The beach is surrounded by cliffs and is accessible only by a narrow path that winds down from the road above.

This secluded location makes Zapallo Beach an ideal spot for those looking to avoid the crowds. That seclusion comes at a price: there are no facilities at the beach itself. No sunbeds, no umbrellas, no lifeguard and nowhere to buy so much as a bottle of water — there is a parking area at the top of the track and nothing below it. Bring your own food, water and shade, and wear proper shoes for the descent, which is steep and uneven. The nearest cafes and shops are up in Episkopi village.

One of the most unique features of Zapallo Beach is the natural rock formations that line the shoreline. These formations have been sculpted by the sea over thousands of years and create a dramatic backdrop against the blue waters of the Mediterranean. For those who enjoy water sports, Zapallo Beach is a great spot for snorkelling and diving. The crystal-clear waters provide excellent visibility, allowing you to explore the underwater world and discover the many species of fish and other marine life that call this area home. If you're looking for a peaceful and secluded spot to unwind and relax, Zapallo Beach is definitely worth a visit. With its stunning natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy a little slice of paradise. So why not pack a picnic, grab a good book, and head to Zapallo Beach for a day of sun, sea, and relaxation? You won't regret it.
