Timios Stavros Chapel - Pedoulas

The Timios Stavros Chapel is located in the village of Pedoulas, in the Nicosia district.

The church is situated at the top of the Fidkias Hill and it was built in 1986. It is a modern chapel that is decorated with modern iconographies. The most impressive thing about the church is the huge cross which is 25 metres high, standing on the south side of the chapel. The cross is so big that it can be seen easily by distance. The chapel celebrates the universal feast of the Raising of the Holy Cross on 14 September.

Many pilgrims that go to the Kykkos Monastery, as well as foreign visitors park at the chapel area to rest. During the summer months there is a kiosk.
