The Fontana Amoroza Beach is situated in the west part of Cyprus, more specifically in the Akamas Peninsula of the Paphos  district. The particular beach is a magnet for every visitor in the area.

The name Fontana Amoroza is dated from the 16th century from the Frank period. The name Fontana Amoroza means source of love and is linked with the famous Baths of Aphrodite (Loutra tis Aphrodites), the natural spring in which the goddess bathed in.

According to the legend the goddess Aphrodite took her lovers there away from people. Another legend states that those who drink from this spring, will fall in love again. The beach seems to live in its own rhythms, forgotten in its myths which reflect on the location with its wild vegetation, the forested landscapes and its clear blue waters. Fontana Amorosa is not a classic sandy beach but its water is crystal clear and has a deep green – light blue colour. The bottom is made up of sand and rocks and its depth is from 3 to 5 meters.

It is an ideal beach for diving, exploring and taking a tour along its coastline that it filled with nature trails. As it is a very isolated beach there are no services or facilities so be sure to take food and drinks with you.Access to this beach is best done by a 4x4 car or by sea on one of the day trips that the boats offer at the Latsi port.
