The Genethlion Sotiros Church  is located in Tala village.Tala village is located in the Paphos district at a distance of 8 kilometres from the town centre, in a majestic natural environment.

It neighbours with the monastery of Agios Neophytos (Saint Neophtyos to the northeast (about 2 kilometres) and with the village Emba (about 4 kilometres). The village is built at an altitude of 280 metres.

The church was built during 2011-2012. The inauguration took place on the 26th of December 2012 by the Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II.

He was accompanied by the Metropolite of Paphos Georgios, the Metropolite of Kykkos Tyllirias Nikoforos, the Meropolite of Karpasia Christoforo , the Metropolite of Arsinoe Nektario , the Metropolite of Hytron Leontio , the Metropolite of Neapoleos Porfyrio and the Metropolite of Mesaoria Grigorio.
