The Stavros tis Psokas Forest Station is located in a beautiful area in nature and greenery in the Paphos district area. It is in the heart of one of the most important areas for the environment in Cyprus, the Paphos Forest.

It was previously called Stavros tis Psoras. As tradition states, a girl with psoriasis went to the area and was cured. Later on she built a church in memory of this miracle. With the passing of time the name changed to Stavros tis Psokas, possibly to make it more welcoming.

There are properties to stay in, after contacting the forest department as well as the Stavros tis Psokas camping site for tents. Next to the Forest Station there is an enclosed area with mouflon, but if you walk through one of the nature trails in the area you may see them move freely in the wild.

There are many nature trails in the area such as the Horteris nature trail, or Tripylo. It is the highest point in the area and the view is unique. From Tripylo you can then go on foot into the Cedar Valley. The cedars are endemic and are not found anywhere else in the world. Their pine nuts are very pretty and you will notice that they all grow in the opposite direction from the pines.
