The Vera Lebanese cargo ship came into the shallow waters of Paphos in 1972 and was originally used as a target for army training.

Later on it was considered to be a danger and was blown up in 1974. Now it rests on a crater which was created by the explosion, 11 metres from the sea surface. Near it are two large galleries and narrow tunnels suitable for experienced divers. There is also an abundance of sea life for observation. An OW open sea certification is necessary for this diving site.

Access is by boat about 25 minutes from the Paphos port.
