Golden Donkeys Farm - Skarinou

The Golden Donkeys Farm is located in the Skarinou village in the Larnaca district.

The farm is a family business, and their philosophy is simple: the history and the past of each country form its treasure. The mission of the farm is to save as well as share this treasure with the visitors that come from other countries in order to show them the true side of Cyprus.

 The farm has about 170 donkeys with their own name and different character. The farm is the largest donkey farm in Cyprus and possibly one of the largest ones in Europe. Most of the donkeys at the farm are females and they produce milk. The donkey milking is done is a designated area and is compliant with the requirements of the European Union.

Once you get to the farm you can take a walk on donkeys, take a picture and feed them. The donkey farm is not only made up of donkeys but also has other interesting things. There is a wax museum, a traditional Cypriot house, a traditional olive press, a botanical garden, an amphitheatre, one of the oldest olive trees in Cyprus, a small chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary of Memila as well as a restaurant and a souvenir shop.
