The iconic chapel of Agios Georgios is situated in the area called Alyki in the Chloraka village of the Paphos district.

The area is where Georgios Grivas Digenis had disembarked. Georgios Grivas Digenis was the leader of the EOKA organisation during the Freedom Fight 19955-1959. The chapel was built by the donation of the great benefactress in the village, Princess Zina Kanther De Tyras. Zina Kanther also arranged for the creation of the road from the village until the chapel. This project cost 5000 pounds.

The chapel was completed on the 16th of July 1961, and was later painted with iconographies under the care of the Metropoli of Paphos and donations from Christians. It is worth mentioning that the small temple is used for many weddings.

The church celebrates on the 23rd of April and the 3rd of November.
