The Elitzi Water Fountain  is located about a kilometre northeast of the village of Lofou in the Limassol district, in the middle of the road towards Sylikou. The water fountain owes its name to the location of the area.

The source from which the water fountain received the water rom is located at the bottom of a steep mountain. The people from Lofou constructed a large tank which contained plenty of water.

The tank is decorated with large openings from which the people got their water from. The whole project was completed in 1842.

The tap covered the needs of the villagers until 1953 when the concrete taps were built by the British.

Today a visitor can see the Water tap of Elitzi from the dirt road o Lofou-Sylikou or from the nature trail which has recently been made after the many attempts of the community board.

It must also be noted that the community board has constructed a pavement in front of the tap in order to assist visitors.
